SCHEDULE for "Oasis Dance Magic 2007" August 11 and 12, 2007 Saturday's Events - Pavillion 9:30 am - REGISTRATION 9:30 am to 4:00 pm - Shopping Bazaar. Open during workshops. 10:00 to 11:00 am - FAHTIEM "Good Morning, Oasis Dance Magic." Wake up and Vibrate with one of LA's hottest instructors. 11:15 am to 1:15 pm - VIRGINIA of Miami Oriental – Captivate your audience with Virginia’s Oriental choreography, deeply rooted in Egyptian technique layered with modern dynamics and emotional interpretations. Gain a complete understanding of the composition with soulful insights to the rhythmic, melodic, and open space of each phrase. Incorporate exciting and unique combinations and techniques to your repertoire. Capture the true essence of Oriental dance! 1:15 to 2:00 pm - LUNCH BREAK- Time to shop! 2:00 to 4:00 pm - RACHEL BRICE Introduction to Creating Fusion Choreography - The participant will learn a technique for structuring choreography, and will be given ideas for thematic development and abstract musical interpretation. You will create your own combinations to be used with combinations/sections taught in class. Sunday's Events - Grand Ball Room 9:30 am - REGISTRATION 9:30 am to 4:00 pm - Shopping Bazaar. Open during workshops and until after Gala Show. 10:00 to 11 :00 am - FAHTIEM Wake up and "Ex-Zill-erate" with Fahtiem (bring zills) 11:15 am to 1:15 pm - MEERA Bollywood - the new sensation sweeping the country. A fun, energetic class with versatile combinations. 1 :15 to 2:00 pm - LUNCH BREAK Time to Shop! 2:00 to 4:00 pm - VIRGINIA of Miami Drum Solo – Virginia will guide you through her “5 Essential Elements for the Ultimate Drum Solo”. A fun, high energy class that will have you working to your fullest potential. Intensify your shimmy, enlarge your vocabulary, articulate your movements. Learn a hot drum solo choreography. 6:00 to 7:30 pm - Doors open for Oasis Dance Magic Gala show seating, 7:30 - 10:00 pm - GALA SHOW Tickets for Gala Show available in weekend package or sold separately. Orders are available in advance.
